Pedro is currently a Vissitor Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics, Materials Science and Engineering and Electronic Technology at Rey Juan Carlos University. He is involved in teaching of Electronic Systems Design and Design Of Electronic Circuits and Systems and his main research interests include embedded systems, sensory and measurements systems, computer vision, among others.

Electronics Engineer (year 1994) and Master in Telecommunications Systems (year 2000) from the Universidad de Oriente in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. Between 1994 and 2001, he belonged to the faculty of the department of Telecommunications and Electronics of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of said university. He received his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electronics: multisensory sensing and robotics systems.
