José Pulloquinga is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics, Materials Science and Engineering and Electronic Technology at Rey Juan Carlos University. He is involved in teaching Industrial Communications, Continuous Control, Discrete Control, Automation, and Industrial Robotics. His main research interests include Industrial Automation, Robotics for Rehabilitation, Control of Mechatronic Systems, Artificial Vision, among others.
He received his bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering from The University of the Armed Forces-ESPE, Ecuador, in 2014. From 2015 to 2017, José Luis worked as Electric/Electronic Supervisor in the Nordheek Engineering, Ecuador. In 2018, he obtained his M.Sc. degree in Mechatronics and Robotics from the Escuela Politécnica Nacional (EPN), Ecuador. In 2023, he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Automation, Robotics and Industrial Computer Science at Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), Spain. His thesis obtained the Cum Laude award, the International Doctorate mention and the nomination for the best doctoral thesis 2023 at UPV.
